Arzell Lester passed away on July 30, 2025. He was born September 21, 1933 in Jefferson, Georgia, and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Morehouse College. He spent his career with the Centers for Disease Control as a patent-holding bacteriologist and researcher. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; five siblings; son; and two grandchildren. He is survived by his sister; two daughters; and several grandchildren.
